Product Description

This Pikorua (twist) pendant has been hand carved from New Zealand pounamu (greenstone/ jade) by carver Ric Moor.

The Pikorua is a contemporary pounamu design and is said to depict two intertwining pikopiko fern fronds.
The symbol reflects that of an infinity symbol, showcasing the flow of energy between spiritual and physical worlds.  Also signifies the bonding of two life’s together for eternity.

The meaning of the pounamu Pikorua is that it connects the spirit of friends, family and loved ones, bringing them closer together even when they're apart.

Ric was born in the Bay of Islands where he spent much of his youth carving bone, stone and working with silver but now lives on the West Coast of the South Island. He has been carving for many years and loves working with pounamu because of its permanence and cultural significance.
