Unique to New Zealand the Tūī belong to the honeyeater family, feeding on nectar from flowers of native plants. They are common throughout New Zealand living anywhere from native forests to bush reserves.

Every piece of Melina's work is hand screen painted by her and is created from her own original artwork. Her artwork depicts New Zealand's native birds, flora and fauna, as they have such an understated beauty.

Melina uses only water based textile inks, natural fabrics and recycled paper to minimizing environmental impact.
